The Metro Bar and Grill is a casual eating and drinking establishment in Dallas, Pennsylvania, just outside Wilkes-Barre.

Located in a converted silk factory, the space once devoted to the construction of ladies' undergarments is now home to The Metro.

Providing craft and fine beers to suit all tastes, The Metro features 16 draft beers, over one hundred bottled, over two dozen wines by the glass (we have the only wine preservation tap system hereabouts), signature martinis, hand-cut steaks, hand-made fresh burgers, fish, pasta, and some of the best chicken dishes you'll find anywhere.

All in a casual, relaxed, fun environment.

In 2011, The Metro won 11 awards from local publications, including Best Bar, Best Happy Hour, Best Bar Food, and Best Place to Hang Out!

The award-winning Metro Bar and Grill is open Tuesday through Saturday, from four until two, serving dinner until one a.m.

On Sundays we open for Brunch 9 am - 3 pm, and remain open until 2am, serving a full menu until 1.

The award-winning Metro serves fine American Bistro dishes in a casual, relaxed, unique atmosphere.

Our popular 1/2 pound fresh ground Angus Steak Burgers are hand-formed and grilled to your specifications. We also offer hand-cut prime steaks, fresh Ahi Tuna, Ocean-caught Salmon, fresh locally-sourced Chicken and produce.

With our array of appetizers, salads, sandwiches, wraps, steaks and seafood -- you're sure to find just what you are looking for!

Very nice atmosphere. It was our first visit and I was looking forward to our dinner. However, it took over an hour to get the 3 APPETIZERS we ordered. Our waiter was very apologetic and seemed to be doing his best to find out where our food was. Finally told us he asked the manager to stop by, and (surprise!!) our food finally shows up. Manager never came over and no offers were made to compensate us for our ridiculously long wait. Food was "ok" when we finally got it, probably only because we were starving at that point. There are many other restaurants in this area with better food and who treat their customers better.
