Shiro Japanese Hibachi and Sushi Restaurant and Dance Club located on Route 611 in Swiftwater opened its doors in late October of 2008.

The Shiro experience begins before you ever get to the front door as guests are met by a clean cut young man in a golf cart who will shuttle them from your car to Shiros entrance on a bustling or rainy evening. A polite doorman greets them as they enter through the vestibule to enjoy and evening of fire, food, fun and fantasy. Beside the Shiro waterfall guests are greeted by gracious hostesses who welcomes them and escorts them to one of Shiros many Hibachi or Sushi tables.

As guests enter Shiro they are immediately struck by the expansive building that seamlessly blends rustic Pocono architecture with an eastern influence. The result is a magnificent space that feels at once, cavernous and enveloping.

Shiro offers a warm, friendly and engaging experience for families. Children of all ages enjoy the entertaining Hibachi shows filled with juggling, singing, fire and practical jokes as our chefs prepare simple, yet sumptuous meals before your eyes. The game room, which benefits local charities in part, is run by the Trapasso family's two young sons. Open daily, the game room often lures parents in to the fun as well as their children. On weekends, Shiro welcomes families to enjoy the dance floor until 9:30pm and as if that were not enough, every Friday and Saturday features a magician, face painter or caricature artist to entertain young guests.
