Description:

Mike opened Savo's along with his brother, Ray in 1964. The closely guarded recipe was originated by Ray and Mike Savokinas, mother Madeline and their brother-in-law, Jasper Butera.

Mike and his wife, Georgia work at the restaurant six days a week. Their two adult sons, Artie and Mickey, still work at the restaurant when time allows.

Savo's moved into the former Pittston Plaza in 1971. Savo's Pizza is one of the oldest pizza shops in the Wyoming Valley.
