When we the owners, Ei-san, Teresa, and Suzuki, first opened Katana's doors in June of 1992, we had just four hibachi tables, one sushi bar, and seven tables in the dining room. For many of our patrons, the idea of having a chef theatrically cook a meal in front of them was an exhilarating novelty and eating sushi, tofu, seaweed and other Japanese foods seemed exotic and exciting. Since then, we have built up a loyal clientele, have expanded twice, and have received many awards as the one of the areas favorite ethnic restaurants. We would like to thank all of our wonderful, loyal customers, our dedicated staff, and everyone who has supported us in our continued success over the years

Hibachi is considered an art form in Japan; and at Katana, your meal adventure begins with food preparation and table top cooking and culminates to an intricate combination of presentation. Skilled chefs prepare steak grilled to perfection. Mouth-watering shrimp and chicken sizzle before your eyes. Succulent lobster is flawlessly prepared. Vegetables are diced and sliced right at your table. And, mounds of fried rice piping hot and seasoned just right await you.
Our meals are delicious and healthy. Light seasoning and fresh ingredients are important to our success. Hibachi-style cooking enhances the original flavors of beef, chicken and seafood. Soup is served first, followed by salad, vegetables, fried rice and the main course. If you still happen to be hungry after all that, we'll tempt you with our incredible dessert tray.
